Quebec City

With the rain subsiding (for the best part of the day), we arrived in Quebec city, prepared to have three full on days of sight seeing, touring around and taking in the history of this wonderful city!

400 years old - Quebec is in party mode, with plenty of festivals, tours and events to head to!

Deciding to check out another water fall (third this year!), we made our way to Montmorency Falls, a huge waterfall on the outskirts of Quebec city. A great sight, it could be taken in via cable car, stairs, a bridge hanging over the top of the falls, or from a safe distance.

Moving on from the falls, we headed to our hotel, then made a quick stop at the Aquarium, to take in the aquatic life of Canada. Seals, Atlantic Salmon, Giant Squid to name a few inhabited the aquarium, as well as their trump cards, walruses and polar bears. It was exciting to stand so close to a poloar bear, with only a plate of glass separating us from these gigantic carnivores! A great place to go for a couple of hours, completely different than what we had expected. An interesting layout, some very unique sea life and a few giggles from the two of us!

Jumping on a bus to tour "downtown". Taking in all the "tourist" areas first- gift shops, art galleries etc, we then had a wonderful dinner. Walking along the cobble stone paths, admiring the flower pots in the window sills and the beautiful architecture (that was 400 years old). It's going to be a hectic 3 days, but we're going to LOVE the place, as everyone else does when they visit!
