Welcome to London!!!

Arriving bright and early in Old London Town after a wonderful night flight with Air Canada, we made our way to Paddington train station (via the Heathrow Express), where we were greeted enthusiastically by my big sister, Loz!

After a short wander (20 mins – with our stupid bloody suitcase) we found ourselves standing in Lauren's lounge room, where we had to ring Mum and Dad, telling them of the news (that we had arrived).

Having to leave us for other less important duties (Loz had work) Kate and I took a quick nana nap, then made our way into town – where we took in the Houses of Parliament (Big Ben), London Eye etc. Moseying along the Thames, we stumbled along – marvelling at the beauty of the area. Stopping in at the Tate Modern Art Gallery, we admired some art work, before crossing the river, towards St.Paul's Cathedral.

After acting like a tourist for much of the day, we continued the trend outside the Cathedral (where BBC were filming some movie / documentary – therefore restricting us from climbing to the top) and then moved further down the Thames until we hit London Tower and Tower Bridge. Feeling like we'd seen enough for the day – and time passed us by quickly – we made our way back to St.John's Wood station, where we caught Loz and a few of her mates for a drink .......a couple.....ok.....a lot of drinks....then it was back to home......ready for our next adventure.
