Day #2 Ostrich-ages

Lauren was determined to give us a surprise – so we made our way into town – arriving at the Borough Market – a gourmet / organic market in central London. Working our way through the many stalls, sampling a few items on the way, we decided to grab a bite to eat.
Another wander along the Thames (with the beautiful weather, we thought that we'd try our luck on the Eye – too long a wait, so we moved on!)
Finding ourselves wandering through Covent Garden, Soho and Trafalgar square, we took hundreds of “touristy snaps” then headed into the Aussie / Canada / Kiwi shop – to buy some things that we've missed – Allens lollies, BBQ SAUCE and Milkos.....shame the prices weren't in Aussie $$$.....bit dearer than back home!

After a beautiful morning taking in the sights of London, we headed to Hyde Park, where we took in the ever changing leaves, the hundreds of people tanning themselves in 14 degree weather and the Diana memorial fountain. Continuing on our way through the park, we found the Kensington Palace, where a couple of snaps were had, before heading for dinner at Wagamama's (an Asian noodle place – great food!!!)
Kate and I had been lucky enough to score some pretty good seats to Avenue Q – a musical / comedy making a mockery of the Muppets and Sesame Street (very rude, crude and not very PC) – but we laughed sooooo hard – it was our type of show! :)
